A year ago we packed up the office in North Wales and relocated to the Isle of Man. The short version: we'd do it again tomorrow.
What actually changed
The paperwork was more boring than the internet suggests, the banks were slower, and the fibre is surprisingly good.
- Work rhythm got calmer
- Client meetings are still on Teams
- Commute is now a ten-minute walk
The island is small enough that running a quiet software shop here feels natural. It hasn't changed what we build, just how we feel at the end of the week.
